Dr. Roslin Azni is currently a Consultant Ophthalmologist in the Medical Retina & Uvetis Unit in Hospital Shah Alam. She graduated with an MD from University Sains Malaysia in 1998 and completed post-graduate training in Ophthalmology and was conferred Masters of Surgery in Ophthalmology by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2006. She received her subspecialty training in Medical Retina, Uveitis and Ocular Oncology in Hospital Selayang, Moorfields Eye Hospital, London & St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, United Kingdom in 2011. She is actively involved in training and supervising specialists on fellowship training, Medical Officers for Masters in Ophthalmology, Masters of Optometry students and also Post Basic Paramedic Students. She is also the Steering Committee Member for the National Guidelines for the management of Diabetic Macula Edema and Age Related Macula Degeneration (PCV) and CPG for Diabetic Retinopathy screening. She was also the co-investigator for landmark clinical trials in AMD ie EVEREST II and the KITE study. She has organised and is actively involved in outreach programmes such as the Retinal Disease Awareness Programme and Cataract Finder Project. She has received the Excellence in Service Award in 2005 and 2012.
